Sneak Peak of Orientation

A few pictures from our 1 week orientation in Akron, PA. 

There were about 50 SALTers (from the US and Canada) and 30 IVEPers (coming from the rest of the world to US or Canada) at the MCC Welcoming Place this week getting oriented to live and work in a new culture.

Below we spent an evening at the MCC Materials Resource Centre helping put school kits together, package canned meat, recycle books, bale used clothes, etc.

Many hours were spent listening, learning and making friends.

 This was the small group I was in. We got together every morning to share and encourage one another.

 My roommate Kate is from Kenya and will be working in the US
